While I can't put my stamp of approval on the content of the entire book, I can say that my overall assessment of the book is good. It is definatley an 'eat the meat and spit out the bones' kind of a read.
As believers we ought to know what we believe and why, and we ought to be able to defend the faith when the need arises. That is the challenge presented here. The kind of commitment that is pleasing to the Lord is an informed one. We will never arrive, but we ought to never cease growing in our intellectual affirmation of the truth of the Word of God.
This book is both convicting and encouraging. It is convicting anytime we are confronted with our own laziness in any capacity. It is encouraging because we all have the ability and resources to grow in our knowledge of God and His Word!
I'll write an actual review once I complete this book this time around, but in the meantime it is still a book I recommend.
